EDGEWATER PARK, NJ ~ Robert E Miller Animal Abuser Date: Sat, 7 Feb 2009 Serious miscarriage of justice looms in Edgewater Park, NJ.
On February 5, 2008, Robert E Miller of Edgewater Park, NJ was convicted of four criminal and four civil charges related to way in which he had been keeping his animals confined in small, filthy cages until they were seized on August 7, 2008. Despite these convictions, the judge on the case, the ostensibly "honorable" James M Vodges, refused to rule one way or the other on whether Miller can or cannot reclaim his animals. Vodges' cowardly refusal to rule one way or the other on the motion brought before him by the NJ SPCA and the Edgewater Park prosecutor Dean Buono has created a situation in which the Burlington County Animal Shelter may be forced to return seven=20 dogs and one cat to the squalorous conditions and utter neglect from which they were rescued should Robert Miller pay the animals' shelter confinement costs. Even worse, someone at Edgewater Park's municipal court office is apparently arranging a "payment plan" for Miller and Miller and a friend of his have been already clamoring to get the animals back. If this sounds screaming red capital letters WRONG to you, please contact the Edgewater Park municipal court at 609-877-7645 or Edgewater Park Municipal Court, 400 Delanco Road, Edgewater Park, NJ 08010 and let them know! The animals are counting on you!

I can not believe that a Judge would be so incentive to send helpless animals back to live in small, confining, filthy cages. Or back to be with someone who is so cruel to them. To force these helpless animals to go back to such squalor is disgusting and inhumane. Is this Judge blind!!! It makes me wonder, if he has pets, how are they treated??
Shame on Judge Vodges and I will not use the term"Honorable" Judge Vodges, because an Honorable person would NEVER allow such a thing to happen.

THE OSHKOSH COMMON COUNCIL HERE NOTE THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THIS CITY WHO REPRESENT US HAVE VOTED 6 TO 1 TO SHOOT APPROX12 PLUS DEER BECAUSE A FEW PEOPLE COMPLAINED THE DEER WERE EATING THEIR SHRUBS THESE DEER ARE OUT IN A 20 ACRE AREA NO HOUSES AND THESE DEER HAVE BEEN HERE A LONG TIME,THEY HAVE BECOME TAME YOU CAN WALK RIGHT UP TO THEM AND THEY HAVE BEEN NAMED BY OUR KIDS HERE IN TOWN. ONE LADY YESTERDAY AT OUR SAVE THE DEER MEETING SAID ITS LIKE GOING INTO A ZOO AND KILLING THE ANIMALS THERE. SO WE ARE GOING TO FIGHT CITY HALL ON THIS ONE,BUT THATS WHAT I MEAN ALOT OF THESE PEOPLE IN THESE POSITIONS SHOULD BE SUPPORTING ANIMALS AND THIS PERSON IS GOING TO GET HIS 20 DOGS AND 1 CAT BACK? WITH A PAYMENT PLAN FOR HIM? COME ON DONT THESE PEOPLE HAVE HEARTS OR PETS? I HOPE THEY DONT HAVE KIDS! I WISH I LIVED THERE I WOULD MAKE DAMN SURE THEY NEVER GOT THEIR PETS BACK AND WOULD MAKE SURE THEY WOULD NEVER EVER OWN ANY PETS THE REST OF THEIR LIFE. WHY WHY WHY ISNT THIS PERSON IN JAIL FOR ANIMAL ABUSE? I THINK ITS TIME THAT JUDGE SHOULD RETIRE LETS GET JUGE JUDY THERE!!!!THIS JUDGE WHO RULED IS JUST AS BAD AS THE ANIMAL ABUSER THEIRSELF!!!! SHAME ON YOU JUDGE YOU NEED TO GET A BACKBONE IN THAT SEAT OR ITS TIME TO HANG UP YOUR ROBE!!! THESE ANIMALS WHO ARE ALL ABUSED CANNOT SPEAK FOR THEIR SELFS WE NEED TO BE THE VOICE FOR THEM. I AM SOOOO SICK OF ALL THESE ANIMAL ABUSERS WHO ARE OUT FREE TO HARM ANIMALS AND ALSO KNOWN TO GO ONTO BE PEOPLE ABUSERS POSSIBLY KILLERS. COME ON HERE YOU NEED TO DO THE RIGHT THING FOR THESE ANIMALS WHO HAVE CLEARLY BEEN TORTURED LET THEM LIVE OUT THE LIFE THEY HAVE LEFT IN A EXCELLENT CLEAN HOME WHERE THEY CAN BE LOVED AND ENJOYED, DONT GIVE THIS PERSON BACK ANY PETS AND HE IS GOING TO USE A PAYMENT PLAN CLEARLY HE DOESNT HAVE THE MONEY TO EVEN CARE FOR 20 DOGS AND 1 CAT. HOW DOES HE VET THEM I AM SURE HE DOESNT OR DOES HE HAVE A LICENSE AND PROFF OF RABIE SHOTS WHICH ARE REQUIRED BY LAW BY IT DOESNT SEE TO HAVE ANY LAWS THERE WHERE THE ANIMAL ABUSER LIVES. This hurts me so much. I just adopted a dog from a shelter that was confiscated when they closed down puppy mills in Lancaster County, PA. These were mills being operated on Amish farms. This little guy we adopted has health issues, he is horribly afraid of everything, and he wasn't eating at all for fear of other dogs taking it away from him, so he just didn't want to get into the fight. It is taking us time to bring him around but he wants to be loved so badly. I have heard from some people that we were crazy to take on all the issues that come with a pound dog. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE! This little guy, named him Murphy, needed us and we needed him. He has enriched our lives so much and someday my greatest wish is that instead of hanging his head down, I want to see him prancing around proud with his head held high. I am writing to that judge to let him know what a monster his is. Do these people think that just because they are animals, they don't feel pain or the neglect??? I just hate our society that allows these things to continue. Where are the laws for these animals? So many volunteers that get the places closed down and then they are right back in business again. It is a disgrace!!! For Murphy's sake, and all the other ones that never find a home, I pray for justice and peace in their lives.

Talked to the Court administrator earlier on. She is talking to the judge tomorrow to get clarity, but says she believes that the judge may not have legal jurisdiction over the return or non-return of the animals, and that that decision may be up to the SPCA. She does not know. She did know the judge had the jurisdiction to find Robert Miller guilty and he did so on 8 counts. New Jersey-ites --- any lawyers out there???? Will NJ law really allow this man to get his animals back and torture them all over again? The Court administrator says the "payment plan" was not for return of the animals per se, but is to pay the fines imposed by the judge which were basically restitution to the SPCA. I am to call her back tomorrow afternoon after court. Nancy Kansas City |

ONCE AN ANIMAL ABUSER, ALWAYS AN ANIMAL ABUSER. THIS PERSON HAD NO FEELINGS FOR THESE INNOCENT ANIMALS. NO WAY SHOULD THIS PERSON GET ANY OF THESE ANIMALS BACK, NOR SHOULD HE BE ALLOW TO GET ANYMORE. THE JUDGE IN THIS CASE, I DON'T FEEL IS DOING HIS JOB. NO ANIMAL SHOULD HAVE TO BE IN A ABUSIVE SITUATION. |

I will call the number and express my disgust at how abusive behavior continues to be ignored by government officials. In the mean time, I will also contact the Humane Society of The United States and inform them of this outrage.
